Idea story
The [[cerebellum]] so the baby with the pacifier
it is situated in the [[posterior cranial fossa]] will be present to far behind that we can tell that this is the posterior cranial fossa
and it is covered superiorly by the [[tentorium cerebelli]] if we look up, we can see the tentorium cerebelli
It lies posterior to the [[4th ventricle]], [[pons]] and the [[medulla oblongata]] if we look infront of the cerebellum, we can see the 4th dimension portal, the pons and the medulla oblongata.
the two cerebellar hemispheres are joined by the [[vermis]] between the two cerebellar hehispheres, we can see the vermis which is the worm sitting on the baby's pacifier.
It is connected to the midbrain, pons and medulla oblongata by superior, middle and inferior [[cerebellar peduncles]]. these can be seen as the 3 pipes sitting between all of these diagrams.
Idea Story
the cerebellum has anterior, middle and [[flocculonodular]] lobes. We will go right through the [[cerebellum]] and these lobes will then be explained. Now: the cerebellum has anterior and posterior lobes, but also a flocculo-nodular lobe. this sounds like fluffy noodels so that is what it will be.
the anterior and the middle (or posterior) lobes are seperated by the [[primary commissure]]. between the anterior and middle lobes, there will be an image of a commissioner who will be acting like he is seperating them.
the last and anatomically inferiorly located lobe is the [[flocculonodular]] lobe. So the commissioner is standing on the fluffy noodles.
Idea Story
The outer covering of the cerebellum is gray matter. Now, lets take a step back. The outer covering has all this dirt
The inner is white matter but the inside is very clean
Embedded in the white matter are 3 masses of gray matter forming the intracerebellar nuclei but even within that are three black spots like the yin and yang.
The midline section through the cerebellum is arbor vitae So lets cut this open and see what happens. Its the tree of life!!!
the external layer is molecular layer which contains the stellate and basket cells. ok, the external layer of the cerebellum is made up of many molecules. lets take a closer look: its many satelliles actually!! and what are they looking at: many baskets of fruits down on the earth!
middle layer of the cerebellum is purkinje layer that contains the purkinje cells The Purkinje Pear is the Pit in the Middle.
the inner most layer is the granular layer which contains granular cells that stain very darkly. at the innermost depths of the world, we will find small small granules, but they are actually small ants deep inside the earth.
